Before jumping into the content, I want to ask you if have you ever felt stressed out. Do you often feel like you not try enough and worry about your future. Do you often do not know what to do and what you want in your life. Even when you have your goals, you do not know how to achieve them. If you have those feelings, then maybe we are in the same boat right now. So let’s see what I have found out.

1. Problem

There are times in my life when I seem to be doing nothing. While everyone else looks like they’re racing with their life. The fact that I’m slower than other people is stressing me out. I’m not even sure what I want to do with my life. And even when I have one, I do not know what I can do to achieve them.

Until one day I realize that I have to achieve the best thing or dying. That’s exactly when I have to rethink how I can continually grow up or lose everything. The idea comes within me about all the projects I have created and how can I practice more on them. These ideas created for me the objectives that I want to achieve recently.

Feeling slower than other people

But achieving objectives is challenging, some people never quite manage to reach them. Some lack knowledge, while others don’t even have any goals in mind. For me, achieving our goals has never been easy work. Because I do not know how to make a reasonable goal. Some goal are so hard to understand. Some goals are hard to reach. And some goals are not fun to follow until the end.

2. Solution

Feeling lost in identifying the exact goals to achieve

I have searched for some talented Vietnamese YouTubers to make the perfect plan, but it all seems so unrelated to solving the real problem. Until I found the video How to Create an Effective Action Plan by Brian Tracy. This video shows clearly and concisely what we need to do and which things will bring out the result. I think it is the most suitable answer to my concern.

In the video, Brian Tracy discussed how to take the appropriate steps to achieve our goals by bridging the gap between where we are now and where we want to be in the future. The video demonstrates that we must set really clear goals for ourselves to accomplish our desired outcomes.

4. Summarize the idea

According to the video “How to create an effective action plan” by Brian Tracy: the first stage of achieving goal is to list out the to-do list. These are everything that needs to be done to accomplish those goals (i.e., the people, information, knowledge, and skills needed, as well as the obstacles). The more comprehensive these to-do things are, the more motivated and intense we have to make our goals become possible.

The method of identifying the way to achieve goals

Once we have our to-do lists, continue to concentrate on the plan. The plan consists of two basic components: the sequence for each plan and the established priority. Adhere to the 20/80 guideline for sequencing (20% planning will save 80% time and effort) and the 80/20 rule for priorities (20% results come from 20% of actions).

Therefore, to create a successful action plan, we must prioritize each task and create a sequence that is as precise and careful as possible. At last, we will be able to save a great deal of time and work, and also be able to achieve the initial targets that we already set.

5. Action Plan

According to my real experience, I believe that setting the priority and sequence of goals can make it more achievable. For example, set out the exact to-do list will save a lot of time.

To answer the “What”, “Where”, and “When” questions before we go to work, will also make our mind ready for the tasks ahead. To be more specific, get to know:

+ “What to do?”: For me what is the most challenging task that makes me grow the most effectively on this day?

+ “Where I can get my work done?”: Some people can work at home, but for me it’s better to work at the library, convenience store, or coffee shop.

+ “When I can to my work the most effectively?”: Some people it would be late night, for me it is in the early morning and the mid-afternoon. I often use time after eating lunch to draft ideas for the next work, the most useful resting time for me is after 3.00 pm, not like the usual break time of others.

+ ”Who can help me with those tasks?”: Sometimes, assigning tasks for others or learning from them can make the work easier and saving a lot of time, however, at this time I often get my job done on my own.

+ After answering those questions, I will be ready to jump into the “how I can complete this task?” and get things done.

My practice on saving time on the “making things done” progress

Getting back to the “make things done” progress. The video recommends that we should focus on the “priority” and “sequence” aspects when making the action plan. The most useful idea for me is: “We need to focus only on one thing that is the most valuable”. I think this valuable task also needs to be the most challenging for me at that time. For instance, it is better to put a little pressure on me on the execution progress. Pressure can make me grow up better and faster. That’s how the reward comes in – the satisfied feelings I have when I accomplish the hardest thing on that day. That’s what I have learned from Brian Tracy to get things done. So how about you?
